Plating costs very depending on the stove but a general guideline goes something like this:

Welding

Cast iron welding rod and new to the market wire is expensive at about $90 per pound.
Almost every stove will need some crack or tab welded back on. For a few small pieces it will be included in the restoration price. However, if your stove requires extensive welding, I have to charge $10 an inch. Rest assured, I’ve only had to do this a few times.

Recasting parts

I have two foundry’s that do my recasting. Both are too far away to drive to, so everything must be shipped both ways. However, they are reasonable in their pricing, so rarely does anything cost more than a few hundred dollars. Unfortunately, sometimes parts cannot be repaired or found elsewhere, and this is the only option.

On site fire box work

If your current antique stove is in good working condition, but needs some help in the fire box, we offer on-site fire box rebuilding. If you need grates or liners, we can come to your house and rebuild it without removing the stove.

Cookware restoration

We can restore your prized or inherited cast iron pots, pans and griddles, our rust electrolysis tank removes not only rust but old seasoning, grease, and paint without damaging or putting the iron.
we charge $25 per pan.
